Baughn is challenging Guin for the House District 14 seat.

I knmow nothing about Richard Baughn. Except I have sympathy for anyone married 25 years to someone who is obviously a rotten excuse for a human being.
I only have this to say: I know Richard Baughn and I know Ken Guin. Anyone who wants to have fair representation should vote for Richard. Richard speaks to and cares about people all of the time – not just when it’s time to get your vote. My husband and I have been waiting for a long time for someone worthwhile to run against Guin and Richard has answered the call. Richard, you are a person of class and we hope you are the winner.

Guin is trash and your dad is the hardest working and best candidate is district has! Keep fighting the good fight brother, there are a lot of folks who are ready to see Richard Baughn as the next Representative and to see Guin move out of state!

Richard has my support!!! The ad with Lisa showed the least amount of class I have ever seen in a political ad anywhere. I think Guin has sunk to a new low with this one. If bringing up his voting history is that disturbing, maybe he should have thought a little more about casting those votes(pay raises for example).
Good point, Robin….and what about all of those luxurious trips he takes every year? I’m sure most people are aware of them. Who pays for them?
Cory, I am so sorry for what this ad has put you, Katie and your dad through. Ken has stooped to the lowest of lows in doing this. Richard is a good man and he will represent us well. You hang tough, the truth is always revealed!
I have known Richard Baughn for many years and would gladly vote for him. Seeing how he has dealt with everything that has happened to his family in the past only speaks to the true strength of his character. We are missing the real point here and that is who is best suited for this job? In my humble opinion we have the opportunity to elect an honest, reputable man full of strength and the resolve to stand up for his district and lead our community in the right direction. Let’s not pass it up.
I fell for Lisa’s sob story because we were friends in HS. I never understood how kids could turn on their mother, but now I do. Ken Guin is scum, $100,000 a year ciphoned from 2 year colleges for doing nothing. When the college money dried up, then he is representing the Bingo interests replacing ill gotten gains with more ill gotten gains. Ken Guin stood in the pulpit of my church ten years ago against the lottery and gambling, why the change. Ken Guin is a low life palm polisher that has never done an honest days work in his life. He told me at Auburn that he wanted one day to be Govenor of Alabama. Ken you are a low life and your criminal world is about to come tumbling down. The facts you are stating in this forum are the same facts Lisa said directly to me so I know its you and I know where you got them from. Proud AEA member, that is just the problem, you are an AEA member, one of the most corrupt Democratic organizations in the country. Ken Guin has been feeding from the public money trough to long and may have to make a real living now as a lawyer, which he probably can’t do because he has never been in a court room at the Walker county courthouse.
I’ve heard several comments that the new Carbon Hill school was built on land purchased from Ken Guin’s father-in-law? TRUTH?…………………….
Questioning – That’s the first I’ve heard of it, that should be easy to prove or disprove with a visit to the courthouse. If you check it out, let the rest of us know.
Must be easy for Lisa to give all this information to Ken Guin considering she was paid a big chunk of change to lie. 50K or a chance to rekindle a relationship with her children…looks to me with all these negative ads that she took the 50k and now is moving into a house in farmstead. It’s sad she’d rather do what it takes for Richard to lose than to shut up and be a Mother for her children.
What is amazing to me, is that Ken Guin has promised to have Lisa’s DUI’s (3) dropped and her drivers licenses reinstated. Now if he was in this for the good of ALL don’t you think that should be last thing he is worried about. If she works at a school around kids should she not be removed from that environment? If my child attended that school, I would be concerned for her safety. Everyone deserves a second chance but not a the cost of others. Not once have I heard Richard say he was perfect, no one is, but neither including Ken Guin. For once in a political debate, I would lovelovelove to see the candidates talk about the issues at hand. I dont care what an ousted bitter ex-wife has to say. If Lisa had any true friends, they would be getting her help instead of laughing at her behind her back.
Very interesting on the Farmstead house so soon after the ad. True friends can’t get someone help Suzie if they don’t want help. She was told not to do it and did it anyway. She is a train wreck about to happen.
