Kristopher, she’s already sought higher office, if you’ll remember. She ran for U.S. Senate against Jeffery Sessions. He beat her like a yard dog!!!! I’m sure she’ll now settle for the sure thing, and continue to get the regular check! I doubt she’ll gamble again!
I am not even sure what the PSC does but Susan Parker seems like a much better public official than the rest of the bunch like Jim Sullivan, Jan Cook, and Lucy Baxley.

Who cares about her husband Paul? Double standard b/c she is a woman. You are not getting on Patsy Riley b/c she doesn’t work any wife of a male politician. Also, he is a retired teacher.
Also, Anyone that knows Susan knows she is one of the few good politicians. Anytime you need her you can get her on the phone.
Goat Hill, seems a bit weak that your beef against Susan Parker is that her paycheck comes out of public funds – like Bob Riley’s, Jim Folsom’s, Troy King’s, and your legislators’ paychecks do.
I know Susan and Paul very well. I can say with conviction that both are thoughtful, compassionate and hard-working individuals who have served the public and this state well. I’ll echo the anonymous poster that a) everyone knows who you are and b) no one has a problem with your opinions, it’s the way you choose to express them.
I’ll say again, and glad to see agreement from others on both sides of the aisle that Susan is one of the good ones (and yes, I’m well aware she has run for higher office before).

There are plenty of them just like Susan Parker! Two of them are on the Public Service Commission with her. That’s just my opinion, and I know there’ll be those who won’t like it. But, the last time I checked, I’m still entitled to it.

I am delighted that Dr. Parker is running again for Public Service Commissioner. I just wish, along with Jusra Nostra, that she were running on a gubernatorial ticket with Jim Folsom.

To that point, I don’t see that gratuitous insults are an expression of a difference of opinion as much as they are mean-spirited non sequiturs.

I agree with Nope! Susan Parker has been the best PSC Commissioner. Much better than Sullivan, Cook, and Baxley.

There are rumors that Susan Parker would be in the running when Hubbert retires. I think you can take Mac McArthur off that list.
