James Anderson Mulling Run for AG

James AndersonI was pleased to have a conversation with Montgomery attorney James Anderson who tells us that, contrary to any rumors, he is not considering running for the Supreme Court but that he is very much considering running on the Democratic side for Attorney General in 2010. He expects to make a decision by early next year.

The 2010 Big List has been updated accordingly.

Anderson would be far and away the strongest Democratic candidate for the spot.

This may help Nicrosi. She would be the only woman in the race.

Wow, two comments, sounds like a groundswell of support to me.

I have heard his name associated with the District 73 House. Apparently some think that seat is ripe for a Dem takeover with the right candidate.

I heard Anderson’s name in HD73 discussions a while back, but it seems that his focus is now on AG. From what I’ve gathered, HD73 could be a target with the right candidate, but many of the folks that mentioned Anderson for that seat have been discouraging him from getting in of late.

But the fact that they are still searching for a candidate is not a good sign for the guy currently running, Joe Hubbard.

I haven’t seen any indication that anyone is “still searching for a candidate,” MD. Your posts may reflect your personal opinion, but they certainly don’t reflect the CW.

James Anderson would make a wonderful Attorney General.
