Yeah because pirates are a federally protected status group that have experienced centuries of discrimination and genocide. That’s an outstanding point, CC Dollar, like so many of the others that you raise in the comments section of this blog. I commend your defense of the knee-slapping racism that keeps the quality of dialogue so elevated.

Byrne’s law firm represented Gaming WHEN he was there.

Jones Walker did not have its own offices in the states until the merger.

Alabama the gaming clients were already in place.

By the way Adams and Reese is the other principle law firm in the state that represents gaming interests!

Also, its not singular gaming attorney. The law firm represents many gaming interests across the country and in Alabama.

I brought him up because he was in the Alabama AG’s office so there’s a direct linke to gaming interests influence in AG’s office.
And as Chancellor – Byrne gave the lobbying contract for the system to – Jones Walker law firm!

I have heard with my own ears the no-electronic-bingo-anywhere-anytime position of Byrne and James. They both have repeatedly said in media interviews that they fully support Riley’s position, which is that it is all illegal, and he opposes the people being allowed to vote because they have already voted once. Since the only votes that have ever been held on electronic bingo have all passed – 18 of them – I guess Riley is referring to Siegelman’s lottery referendum, which of course, was not and is not an electronic bingo vote. Is CC Dollar correct in his recent comments that Byrne is now changing his position? What about James and Moore?

Byrne left Miller Hamilton for Adams and Reese back in the 90s (not sure exactly when). He never had any dealings with Jones Walker or that merger. Get your facts straight next time.

His old firm which actually left in 2007 works with gaming interests in a big way.

You need to deal with that fact.
