all this false attack garbage on byrne means one thing….you guys are worried he will win the GOP nomination. And you should be…..he is a very good candidate.

2010, I could not agree more!

2010 is cracking me up. Are you bobley byrne himself or one of his staffers? For 62 years I’ve watched politics. Never have I seen a bigger hypocrite. Bobley can quit talking about cleaning up the 2 yr college system. those limited indictments were well underway before he was appointed. he didn’t clean up squat. The governor put him in there just in time to get some name recognition in state papers and try to associate his name with something semi-positive. like i said, he didn’t clean up squat and i know a lot of 2 yr college employees that can’t stand him. but keep talking bout what a great candidate he is. it gives me and the kids something to laugh about.

Question: Why do you Tim James supporters continue to attack Byrne? Answer: Whitt Ayers poll shows Byrne way ahead of James.

  • Nope

At 29 – you better be careful about calling Bradley “anti-new constitution.” Bradley Byrne is on record as supporting a new constitution strongly. There is a paper trail. He’s been quoted in media. He has cosponsored new constitution legislation. You can find it on ALISON. It’s there.

Is he going to attempt to run from his record? That is never a position of strength.

  • Nope

. . .and at 54, no poll shows Bradley “way ahead” of anyone. Call ALFA and Gerald Johnson. Bradley has yet to lead any poll.

“nope” – your credibility here is shot based on your previous posts so get over it.

And to post 53, maybe your years are getting to you. To say that Byrne did nothing to help clean up the 2 year system is ludicrous. And to say that some folks in the 2 year system do not like him….well, hell I hope not. Folks like Rep. Terry Spicer and other double dippers? Yes, I am sure they do not like him. But I know many, many honest hardworking community college educators that thank Bradley every day for his leadership as Chancelor. Go back to your buds at AEA and chuckle some more……. we will see who laughs last come next november.

Post 55 – If you look at the quote correctly, it says “ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION.” That is, in fact, accurate. Byrne has stated publicly many times that he supports re-writing the Constitution, but not through a convention. He would prefer to tackle it article by article.

Seriously, where do these people come from? THINK next time before you post.

Whats more important, advancing the meme, or discussion?

  • Conserrrrrrrrrrrvo Mannnnnnnnnnn

2010- what did Byrne do to clean up the 2 yr system? I ask that in all seriousness. He passed a rule banning double dippers. Okay how many of those were there? Is that his only claim for clean up? 5 or 6 double dippers lost their jobs. Is that a system wide cleanup? I sense that Byrne is padding his political resume. The jailbirds were already heading for the slammer before he got in office. Thanks for any information the official campaign can provide.

Regardless of Political Stripes Vote Tomorrow

As an elected official, I am tuned into voting habits and practices. Call me a political junkie, but I am fascinated by the whole electoral process—what age group votes most often, what issues motivate them and what media outlet is the most effective. While all of my interest in the political world is a hobby [...]

My Time is Up

I write this blog with some mixed emotion. Over the last eight years I have served in the House of Representatives, and this Thursday will most likely be my last day in session as a House member. Of course, my term goes until November, and there could always be a special session at [...]

TRYIN’ TO CATCH UP

I’ve been in Venice on a little vacation and just returned last night.  I’ve been trying to catch up and see that there have been few dramatic events in the last 10 days.  I thought the www.fivethirtyeight.com piece was especially good, though the comments reflected the anti-Alabama knee-jerk reactions of those who live outside the [...]
