Posted by Whew… more to post than I can keep up with… Travel is keeping me busy but I will try at least to update the 2010 House Elections Directory today.
I wanted to squeeze out a post or two on Thursday but I am headed for the Appalachian Trail and had to spend the day looking for my passport.
I hate to miss the state GOP’s Red State Summer Dinner tonight. For the parties, this period leading up to the 2010 primaries is a bit like baseball’s spring training or spring football. Come the regular season, party loyalists will all be on the same team pushing for victory, but right now some of them they are squaring off against one another and sizing each other up. The shared expressions of camaraderie (whether spontaneous or summoned) I imagine will have a slightly different undercurrent as candidates, candidates-to-be, and their coteries assess one another and the 2010 landscape. If you are part of the backslapping and gladhanding tonight and have any stories worth telling, I’d be glad to hear them.

Harri Anne has no chance of being allowed to qualify as a Republican Candidate! No chance in xxxx! She is a lost cause already as a Republican and no democrat will win her seat. It will be the Republican Nominee who gets the seat IMHO.

She would be best to bow out gracefully, but we all know she is not capable of that.

I guess you will be very busy this election putting up all those troy king signs….how will you ever have time to try and rescue your precious harri from the hands of defeat in the next election?
i’ll probably just put them both up on my big sign here on main street…you should quit trying to cause turmoil inside of your own party…you and people like you are the cause many of us are taking a harder look at the dems….
folks like smith and king are not good for the party and not good for alabama. period. and it is not new for you to embrace dems, CC. you attack anyone that is not embracing Ccrossing with open arms – that is your litmus test. you attack riley – attack jimmy holley, attack luther strange, etc. yet folks with questionable ethics you seem to embrace because they love Ccrossing. it’s pathetic. align yourself with culver, smith, king and gilley all you want. that is some interesting company you like to keep…

i will.. because i know they are all fine and upstanding people…and if you knew them personally instead of going by what you hear then you’d see it also..
