SD-7: Sanford Takes to the Air

Republican nominee Paul Sanford takes to the air in the Senate District 7 race with a commercial (below) that has a “ton of money” behind it putting him on the air “a lot more than Laura,” one GOP’er tells the Parlor.

He’ll face Democrat Laura Hall in the special general election two Tuesdays from now. I’m hearing that Sanford is trailing a bit (a little or a lot, depending on the poll). A good ad, a lot of money, and those #’s could move.

Love the ad! Hopefully Sanford will win this one, we need this seat in the Legislature and Laura Hall had no record to run on. 62% pay raise, double dipper, avoids taking a stance in any issue. Her website does not even have an issue page. We need honesty and transpency in Montgomery and Paul Sanford is the one to deliver it. Thoughts about the ad?

Paul Sanford is a weak candidate. Republicans look toward 2010 for a better candidate. What is with the golf shirt and cell phone on his belt in a TV ad?

I see Paul Sanford’s campaign manager is posting…

the man runs a bbq restaurant; do you really expect a brooks brothers suit? He is a hard working candidate. He has knocked on more doors than UPS. That is what it takes to win. Contrast that with Double Dipper Laura Hall and its an obvious choice

Bad advice by his consultants. People want to talk about jobs and educations, not inside baseball about the political process.

    Hey Common Sense
Many NASA and Redstone Arsenal employees have retired and went to work for a private government contractor. A paycheck from the government for retirement and a pay check from the contractor who is paid by the government. Isn’t that double dipping? DUH!

Agreed, ConservDem. Any add that doesn’t talk about jobs, jobs, jobs, rings hollow in this economy.
