Not much turnout, but I like the GOP vs Dem numbers…

  • Will Carter, Watson, and Prabel rally behind Williams? Will Askins obtain the support of the other Democrats?

Susprisingly weak showing for a Democrat in this District. If the Paul Sanford beats Laura Hall in the Senate 7 Special, the other Double Dipper Randy Hinshaw might start worrying about 2010

A partial answer to John Killian (comment 2) from today’s Huntsville Times: Watson is quoted as saying, “I’m happy,” he said Tuesday night. “Why shouldn’t I be? A good, Christian man is the front-runner, and the Republicans got three times as many votes as the Democrats. I’m happy to put my full support behind Phil Williams.”

Watson shows a lot of class in his remarks. Refreshing to see someone who can accept a loss and retain a shred of dignity.

  • Mullet

Wow, not many people cared enough to vote. Very discouraging.

#5 – Watson is a good man. He spent a good part of his life improving Huntsville as a City Councilman.

The GOP will certainly unite behind Williams – he’s very bright and energetic.
