Strange pulls no punches. He is going for the jugular. The interesting question will be whether he can raise enough money to beat King in the primary. Word is, he used up all his Bham meny in the LtG race and dissappinted a lot of supporters with his performance. How far can Riley carry Strange?
when CC admires elected officials (like senator harri anne smith) that lack conviction and hold their finger to the wind to see what position they should take…..it says a lot. and yes, post 4, I agree. Riley has done wonders for this state – finally a Governor we can be proud of.
And what Luther said about restoring some honor to the AG office – he is right on point. But the elephant in the corner in this race is the grand jury looking into King’s office. that may kill his chances of ever being elected again….we will see.
when the grand jury fails to find any wrong doing by king you’ll still have your rumors of gayness…ah yes, BS rumors and BS trumped up accusations..its all you’ve got..but you’re right..we will see…

yeah prince liberty – siegelman, folsom, guy hunt, fob james, some real winners. Riley is a Governor I am proud to say is ours for a change. Yes, his King appointment was a mistake – no doubt about it. But you saying he (Riley) is in bed with gambling interests is a rumor that has been investigated and talked about over and over and no truth has come from the allegations. get over it.

i have not shown “love for little james” other than saying i see he and byrne as the top two in the GOP primary right now. james has money – has been out working very early – and has some name id. he has been a very good business man also – and that speaks for something in my book. but being fob james son…..that is both a pro and a con and gives him no “qualification” to be gov….nor have i ever said it did.
Be on the lookout for another Luther Strange campaign video to be released. I was walking my dog through Rushton Park in Birmingham and he was filming a video at the basketball hoop there with athletic clothes on. I am not sure why, though; that is a pretty sorry basketball court.
This guy couldn’t decide what to run for. He thinks AG is “aspiring governor.” The sad truth is that the office can be used to protect the people and the interests of Alabama… but Republican AG’s see it as a purely political office, and they have NO desire to actually fight crime and corruption.

Note — We had a republican AG when Siegelman was gov. But the prosecution came from the Justice Department. Because… republicans don’t really want the government to work. And republican AG’s sit on their butts and do nothing but wait for the next job. They are not motivated by the desire for justice.
King did what we all know he did. And it’s impressive that the media has not tried to out him. But big Luther will. Watch and wait. It will be an aside at a fundraiser or an off-handed comment when he’s not at his best. Can he beat King by running on the message that Troy’s done a lousy job and is just a self-serving politician? Yes. And if Strange is smart, that’s all he will say. But he and his people will pull out all the stops at some point, whether out of need or by accident.
by the way – has King even said he is running for re election? If he is wise – he may decide not to.

You do realize that Alabama politics have been here long before the country crossing and gilley fiasco, right? And not everything in our lives revolve around bingo or the gaming issue. You might even be surprised to find that a good many people in this state don’t make their voting choices on whether or not someone was pro bingo or anti bingo. Some of us are actually working hard to bring real businesses to this state.
