They wouldn’t even let Duke call his boss! ABC sets up an undercover underage test in a store, 60 year old clerk does everything right (confiscates the ID), wants to call his boss to make sure of what he is supposed to do with the ID next, and gets thrown to the ground by three ABI agents for trying to make a phone call.

Alvin, I’m with you on this one. This is ridiculous.

“Legislators representing Autauga and Elmore counties have introduced bills that would allow voters to decide whether to ban electronic bingo machines in those counties, EXCEPT at an INDIAN RESERVATION in Elmore County.”

  • Lyn Johnson

I’m really glad our legislators took time to congratulate Miss California. This action certainly has priority over all other matters before this group. Does Jay Love think sponsoring this type of feel good legislation will help him beat Bobby Bright?

  • CC Dollar

like i really need an amendment by j love to tell me miss california is right in her belief…wonder how many brownie points jay thinks he gets for this?? zip from me..

  • dylan

i’m sure jay cares about whether or not he gets your brownie points cc.

  • William

Doubt that Jay did it for brownie points – call me Polyanna but maybe he actually believed that was the right thing to do!

  • BREAKING NEWS!

The despicable Lowell Barron still hates Gerald Dial

oh… and Harri Anne Smith hates him, too

  • CC Dollar

yeah..sounds like Harri Anne has a pretty good reason to hate him….I commend her for standing up and warning everyone…I would have done the same thing..

Regardless of Political Stripes Vote Tomorrow

As an elected official, I am tuned into voting habits and practices. Call me a political junkie, but I am fascinated by the whole electoral process—what age group votes most often, what issues motivate them and what media outlet is the most effective. While all of my interest in the political world is a hobby [...]

My Time is Up

I write this blog with some mixed emotion. Over the last eight years I have served in the House of Representatives, and this Thursday will most likely be my last day in session as a House member. Of course, my term goes until November, and there could always be a special session at [...]

TRYIN’ TO CATCH UP

I’ve been in Venice on a little vacation and just returned last night.  I’ve been trying to catch up and see that there have been few dramatic events in the last 10 days.  I thought the www.fivethirtyeight.com piece was especially good, though the comments reflected the anti-Alabama knee-jerk reactions of those who live outside the [...]
