  • That’s pretty funny. Silly Californians.

  • Common Sense

    damn yanks

  • JD Hogg

Apparently, to the yankee mind, all the South is is churches and Civil War statutes.

  • jdt

Hogg – isn’t that a church behind the Civil War statue?

  • SamfordDem

Good one jdt. We’ve got our issues, but the level of ignorance demonstrated towards us by our friends up north and out west is staggering

  • anonfromnowon

Whats wrong? Getting a little taste of what us in South Alabama get from the northern part of the state on a regular basis?

  • Baudrillard

JDT, Tuscaloosa is God’s Country, after all.

  • Old Prosecutor

Perhaps they were referring to the “Civil War” that breaks out every fall between Auburn and Alabama fans.

Wait a minute – make that the civil war that is fought year round between Auburn and Alabama fans

  • Has the “BEAR” been dead that long that others think his statue, out in front of Bryant/Denny statium in Tuscaloosa, AL, is a civil war statue. Should have shown Capitol buildings in Montgomery, AL with all the statues of Confederate Generals etc.

  • STAND UP FOR BAMA

$5 says the person that wrote the story voted for Obama.

  • Dr. Dan

Unlike so many of those Californians, at least we Alabamians are smart enough to know that “Dixie” was a place, not a proposition.

  • Peteyd

Is it true that Bear’s tombstone says “He never beat Notre Dame”

Surprised you Alabama folk took notice of this … didn’t even know internet access was prevalent in that area of the country.

  • DBS

What else would you expect from the land of fruits and nuts?

  • KC

Yup, Conor. With lectricty and telephone lines, it was only a matter of time before some of us started plugging up computers.

I’d call broke-assed, Terminator-run California more backward than Alabama nowadays.
