10 comments to Mock Constitution Convention Deadline This Week
Hey, the bear bill is a good one. For years they had these “wrassling” bears that they drugged up and had them declawed, defanged and let them “wrassle” a man for a period of time. If the man stayed in the ring, for a period of time he won. I say give the bear back his claws, teeth, keep him sober , and then let the man stay in the ring. If he can stay one minute then in my book he will be one hell of a man. He could probably serve in the Senate. Bunch of rednecks carrying a maimed bear in a cage. That’s why that law was passed. The late Joe Ford passed it and it made the Paul Harvey news then. Screw Fox, it’s a good bill……
One last thing. I bet someone thought the $2.00 was in the end, way too much to pay for the ceremony. I sure am glad all of this is going to get changed with new group. The next thing you know, we might even get the US Congress and the Federal courts to honor the 10th amendment. That would be one hell of a good idea. Damn Yankees. I hope they never come South bless their hearts.
Maybe I’m crazy but most of those laws seem to make a modium of sense. The “duel” law in West Virginia seems a little dubious and many of them seem vague enough to be subject to varying levels of enforcement but otherwise interesting.
This Thursday will mark the last day of the legislative Session. For some, it was a Session that seemed would never end. For others, it was one that ended much too quickly. It may be early, yet, to write an obit on this Session, but as we approach the finish line, some perspective may be in order.
As you know, a very important piece of legislation will be presented for our consideration in the House tomorrow in Montgomery – Senate Bill 310 – the “Students First” tenure and fair dismissal reform bill. Like me, many House members have been inundated with phone calls and emails from opponents of this bill, and some have been [...]
There are a lot of issues to debate before we begin the final days of this session. In fact, I am quite certain there will be some comments on this post debating many of them. Before we get into the last seven day of the session I wanted to bring up a topic that [...]
Why does no one have a comment about this? Do y’all think this is a good idea or a bad one or what?
Will this affect constables?
who will play the part of the special interests that will rewrite said consitution?
we need enforcement of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 – not a rewrite by Communist popular front groups
You think the people of Alabama would approve a new constitution written by “Communist popular front groups”?
“Communist popular front groups” only got Obama 39% of the vote
not sure what this says, but 3 of Fox News’ top 10 wackiest laws in america are from Alabama:
