Lucy Baxley Hospitalized

Public Service Commission logoLucy Baxley, newly elected as President of the Public Service Commission, was expected to preside over her first meeting of the Commission tomorrow. Instead she has been hospitalized due to a hairline fracture of her pelvis resulting from a fall on Thanksgiving Day. Her assistant Lisa Parrish says no surgery is necessary and that Baxley is expected to make a full recovery.

Unfortunately, an incident like this will be a red flag to those who have been concerned as to whether she is able to meet the demands of the job after a debilitating stroke two years ago.

We wish her a speedy and full recovery from her Thanksgiving break.
