48, if 58% increase in unemployment in Montgomery is not a lie, you explain it to me. Jay Love could not explain it to me. It is a lie. He personally “approved this message.” He has been given ample opportunity to explain or correct it. He has done neither.

  • Anonymous

If I say “I sponsored and passed tax cuts” when I clearly did not, I lie.

    Jay Love lies. Simple.

If I say “Bob McKee is setting up a legislative pension for himself” when he never did any thing remotely like that (and put ad ad on TV saying that untruth), that is a lie.

    Jay Love lies. Simple.

If I claim I only voted for the referendum on Amendment 1 when I also voted for double digit other tax bills (NONE of which would have been included in the bill and some of which WERE defeated at the legislative level despite Love’s support of those taxes) I lie.

    Jay Love lies. Simple.

Please do not make this go on any more. tyhose are verifiable lies. For source material you can go to the Alabama legislature’s own site and to news stories about the McKee lie in the Montgomery Advertiser in June of 2002.

He lied. I just proved it. Give it up!

if you say so 52. If bobby bright says that he did not say he supports barack obama, then what does that make him? Bobby supports Obama, Obama, Obama. that’s all she wrote.

  • Anonymous

Obobby also believes in paying for endorsements. That tells me a lot…

  • Anonymous

There is a differrence here, #54. There is absolutely zero proof that Bright paid for an endorsement. You have none. Nada.

Come back when you can cite an FEC report, produce a canceled check, or get a tape or video recording of a transaction. Something like that. Proof.

Otherwise you are committing slander. Like lying, that is wrong, BTW.

There is verifiable, easily checkable proof that Love 1) never passed his claimed tax cuts 2) ran a dishonest ad against Bob McKee in 2002 and 3) misrepresented his votes on Amendment 1.

In short: the claims against Love are proven and your claims against Bright are not.

  • Anonymous

ummmm – yeah – bright telling harri anne he will take care of 150K, IF HE WINS, is really going to show up on an fec report or cancelled check. Everyone in the Wiregrass knows she shopped it around – it was widely known when she was doing it. Bright is not a good judge of character and has participated in politics at its worst.

    Amen to post 55!

  • Anonymous

56, you sound like a broken record. Who cares? These threads try to address the facts and all you do is come in with unsubstantiated trash talk. You say the same thing over and over like repeating them makes them true. It does not. You do not reflect well on your candidate, Mr. Love. Of course, neither does he. I see where he has now loaned his compaign $900,000 of his own money.

  • Anonymous

I see where Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangle, the DNC, and a slew of trial lawyers have funded Bobby Bright’s campaign. The funding fight is one you can’t win buddy.

  • Get Real

I think it is truly sad that Jay Love has talked about Nancy Pelosi far more than about Ft. Rucker in this campaign. It shows how misplaced his priorities – and his campaign’s – are.

  • Anonymous

I heard from what I would call someone “close” to the Love campaign that they have more video of Bright saying nice things about Obama and are looking to trap him with it. I do not know that it is true, but supposedly they recorded him again, only no video, only audio this time.

  • Anonymous

U think 61? When Bright is in a dem friendly environment he loves obama, then when he is in a rep friendly environment he loves huckabee, and when he is not sure,,,well, he just luvs america. it’s all his game. and it’s old. no back bone whatsoever.

and 60, you must not be from the Wiregrass. Jay talk about Ft. Rucker often and he for one has run ads specific to the importance of Rucker. If you think the democrats will be good for military spending then i have some ocean front property in arizona for you. just ask barney frank about his recent urging of dems to cut defense spending by 25%

  • Anonymous

AMEN 62. Dems are terrible for defense spending. That is a fact.

  • I am post number 35. Again, where is any proof? I am asking one person outside of Bill Harris to publicly announce that a bartering offer from HAS was discussed by HAS in their presence. If all of this $150,000 talk is true then where is the “actual proof”. A person that is willing to go on talk radio, tv, or just post a name with a verifiable account will do. If you have proof then show it. If you can’t prove then it is just nothing more than a supposition and is not worth one ounce of crediability. Come on !! Some one step up tp the plate if you have the proof, if not then please stop the BS…….

64, reynolds and ross both were approached. smith also asked several people in dothan to talk to love and to the AL GOP to get this done. smith didn’t have this converastion herself – she got her campaign manager and others to do it. the guy (harris) is not lying. the only liar here is smith. i don’t know if bright knew anything about it. he could have been blindsided that she was shopping her endorsement. i don’t know. but she ABSOLUTELY was doing it. it was no secret and it still is not.

  • Love to lose it

    64,

The Lovers can’t stop their BS. They all are so full of it, its pathetic. All they do is distort with no proof to support the rethoric. It is truly sad when they have no recourse other than resort to cutting and pasting comments of Bright in their futile attempt to distort his response to a question posed by the media. This is truly nothing but low life BS and it has been proven just that for a fact!
And that is truly a pure shame!

  • Anonymous

BS? BS is paying 150K to the likes of harri anne smith. It speaks volumes about Bright.

  • Anonymous

#67 – again you are making unsupported slanderous statements. Show some proof or shut up.

How can Bright be judged using a totally unproven, unsupported-by-facts allegation? Oh wait I forgot. You work for Jay Low.

Slimy. Dishonest. The defining characteristics of a Jay Low campaign.

  • Anonymous

68,you are so right. It trash talk won elections, Love would win. The true facts will determine this election, and it will be won by Bright.

  • Anonymous

Maybe Jay should have hired Jared Fogel ( the subway guy) for his campaign manager look at the positive effect Jared had for Subway restaurants.

  • anonymous

Love is a poor excuse for someone who presently claims to be a deacon of a Baptist church. Anyone that allows such distortment of ads be cut against his opponent can’t be much more than a sore loser, not a christian as he started out professing to be thats for sure. BTW, what happened to those christian values you had Jay Love? Why have you been so dishonest throughout this campaign? OK, well it must be that thing called greed that overtook you but that won’t get it done Jay Love..

  • Anonymous

71 – thank you for showing the utter hypocrisy of the Bright camapign. Truly amazing.

  • Anonymous

If anyone needs/wants to know the utter hypocrite that Bobby Bright really is, know that today at a debate he attacked Jay Love for taking money from “Big Oil”. Guess who Bobby Bright took $5,000 from today? You got it – BIG OIL. He filed it on his daily report. What a hypocrite. What a sorry sorry liar.

  • anonymous

    Response to 73

You can put some of everything on that sub sandwich and please make it to go because I won’t wait around to hear any more of your lies and innuendo!

  • anonymous

So Love received $14,300 of our taxpayer dollars to drive to the statehouse less than eight miles away.

This is just plain out wrong.

  • Anonymous

that was Love’s per diem. it is part of their salary. they all get it. 14,000 in 6 years. does not sound like a big deal to me. sort of like when he is raked over the coals for not giving health insurance to teenagers working part time at his subway shops that were already covered under their parent’s health plan. Hmmm….I wonder if the City of Mgm gives part time workers under that situation health benefits? Bright and his campaign has been and still is the biggest show of hypocrisy I have seen lately.

  • anonymous

    74,

I don’t care if he is the Emporer, he shouldn’t be entitled to per diem compensation if not duly justified. Your it is not a big deal response don’t make it right, even if they ALL draw it. That brings up another question. Why Do They ALL Get It? Maybe this should be looked at closer. It is a big deal and needs to be further investigated because it is wrong for us taxpayers to incur this cost! It adds up by the way when you consider the magnitude of it all.

    Wake up Alabama!

  • anonymous

    sorry, I meant 76 res

  • RRabton

#73 – I took a look at the 48-hour notices of both candidates. If you’re saying the IPAA Wildcatters money is ‘Big Oil”, you’re crazy. The Wildcatters are plain ole independent blue collar oilwell drillers, not $10,000 starched shirt and silk suit CEOs. But, there a few curious contributions to Love.
