After Bright says “I support America” someone next to this camera says starting at 2:06 “He doesn’t support America”…wonder if they are a fan of Michelle Bachmann?
Who in the world would think that that video would help Bright’s case?
The Love people will eventually understand that this shows the blatant DELIBERATE dishonesty of Jay Love. The Liar Love Label is starting to stick to Jay like napalm.
The furor here is not over Bright and Obama or McCain or waffling, although the incredibly shortsighted Love consultants who pushed this ad are focused on that like horny geeks at a locker room peephole.
This is cold hard evidence of deliberate dishonesty by Love. In the past Jay’s dishonesty has been alleged, it has been supported by documentation – but here is viseo proof of Jay Love lying. It is a campaign breaker.
Again, he is trying to jerk us around. Can we really send someone to congress that is going to distort facts to US!!!! His constituents!!! The people he is suppose to represent!!! The people that would give him his job!!!
I am sorry, but when I hire people for my company I don’t hire people that have lied to me.

One would think that lying is the hallmark of a campaign in trouble (but I have no idea about this AL 2 situation) – yet AL 5 proves to us that repeated bold faced lies of Parker Griffith have not swayed many votes.
The factors at work are far bigger than this, DCCC outspending candidates 2 to 1, a bad economy always hurts the party in the white house, etc. etc.

Can Bright’s campaign tell me exactly where Love lied? Looks to me he just put up exactly what Bright said. If Bright doesn’t support Obama he is free to put up an ad that says that.

Thanks Brother Gilley, you should really change your style once and awhile. You are the only one obsessed with Jay Love, and you are the only one saying “lies” incessantly. Speaking of lies, one only has to look closely at HAS’s connection to you.

Love dleiberately altered a video to change the meaning – THAT IS HOW HE LIED. PERIOD.
Here is an example a 3-year-old (and hopefully YOU) can understand: it’s like I wrote “I like killing a Dr. Pepper in one swig” and you cut the sentence off at “I like killing.” It is a deliberate lie – and Jay Love did it.
His lie is documented right there in video, and STILL you deny it. Now YOU are a liar also, post # 11. Congrats – are you Jay?
I have to say that it is amazing that every time Jay gets caught in a lie (”I cut taxes” “It’s OK for me to take video out of context” etc.) his people say “Where did he lie?”
Hmmm . . .what an idea: just lie and when the lie is proven, ask “When did I lie?” Just ignore the proof of your lies piling up like the excrement at Love HQ. . .

It is unworthy of being made a dishonest ad due to the nature of which LOVE distorted it so badly in his sneaky effort to make himself look better. What a shame by a shameful character such as LOVE. Bright will get the last laugh off of this one come November 4 I can assure you.

#11 I am going to tell you how dangerous your “reasoniong” is. Several years ago Randolph County High School in Alabama burned. It burned after weeks of racial tension, and the black community blamed Principal Hulond Humphries. However, there was absolutely ZERO evidence Humphries started the fire. In fact, forensic physical evidence cleared Humphries conclusively.
When Humphries gave a video deposition, he meant to say “When I started from home to fight the fire.” Instead, he misspoke and said “When I started the fire.” He immediately corrected his misstatement. Howvere, someone SNIPPED A BIT OF THE VIDEO – OUT OF CONTEXT – and circulated it in the black community. Tensions escalated quickly and many wanted an innocent man arrested and put into prison – BASED ON A VIDEO SNIPPED SO IT WAS OUT OF CONTEXT.
What Jay did is wrong.
I know Bright’s campaign team, and they are not allowed to post on here – they have work to do, and they do it well by the looks of that most recent poll.
Interesting that Love has never released ANY numbers. The poster that said desperate campaigns resort to these types of tactics is right – Love is getting whupped like a rented mule – and they know it!
I did hear that Jay Love will FINALLY say something positive after a completely negative campaign on November 4th.
That positive thing Love is going to say? “I concede.”

#18 your comparison is a little off. Bright meant to say that he will support Obama. I understand this does not mean that he will vote for Obama, he probably won’t, but it does mean he will support Obama. It was not a slip of the tongue as was the case in the example you mentioned.
Supporting the policies of the most liberal member of the senate, I want a rep who will be the “biggest pain in the ass” to the liberal move on establishment. That is why I am voting for Love. Brights purse strings, committee assignments office space and staff will all be under the control of Nancy Pelosi. At any point she can pull anything she has given Bright away wither forcing him to change a vote or making him completely ineffective as a congressman. Neither of these are good solutions. Bright is a good man and under other circumstances would make a good congressman. With Pelosi in control he will merely be a puppet as other younger Blue Dogs have become
Bright supports Obama plain and simple. Truth hurts even though Bright supporters scream to the top of their lungs they are lies. Well, reality bites.

That point is this: in the same way the black community in Randolph County circulated a video they KNEW not to be the “whole truth” to gain a political advantage, Love’s campaign is doing now. It is a dishonest method and is dangerous. They should be ashamed.
I don’t think Bright’s actual intent is really pertinent here. This video was deliberately cut to present a distrorted view of what he said. The INTENT TO DECEIVE is what is important and outrageous – not the substance of the comments.
Here is a similar thing to what Jay did: the CNN reporter who ambushed Sarah Palin stated something along the lines of “Governor, “National Review” ridiculed you by saying you were stupid, incompetent, etc.” What “National Review” ACTUALLY said was “Listening to the media, you’d think that Sarah Palin is stupid, incompetent, etc.”
The WORDS used by the CNN reporter were DIRECT QUOTES form “National Review” – HOWEVER he CUT OFF THE FIRST FEW WORDS – just like Love cut off a large portion of Bright’s response. IN BOTH CASES the actual intent of what was said was DISTORTED DELIBERATELY.
It isn’t about what Bright said or did not say – it is the deliberate intent to mislead that is very disturbing. That is simply indefensible – by CNN or Jay Love.
bright intended to answer the yes or no question, he did that, he said yes he supports barack obama. no further explanaion needed. thanks. just go with it, hell everyone in the world supports obama, so bobby should be proud to be in such great company.

For what it is worth, here is proof that CNN has more integrity than the Jay Love campaign (but then again, doesn’t everyone?):
CNN investigative correspondent Drew Griffin appeared on Thursday’s Newsroom and Situation Room programs to explain how “in no way did I intend to misquote” from a recent article by National Review’s Byron York: “This exchange aired just once in the 6 pm hour, and as soon as the National Review brought it to our attention at 7:05, we immediately realized the context could be misconstrued. We cut that portion of the interview. It never aired again.”
The video speaks for itself. Bright supports Obama and only supports McCain IF he is elected President. End of story.
They did vote on Smith. She will remain in the GOP with a 19 -11 vote. Hubbard just does nto have the pull he use too.

To frame the question more fairly she should have asked Love if he supported the policies of George Bush and asked Bright if he supported the policies of Bill Ayres!

That was a weird question. It should have been do you support John McCain or do you support Barack Obama. The whole things was biased in that regard. Nevertheless, the video is not favorable to Bright.

As if any of us have to wonder who eileen jones supports…………….
Eileen Jones is a sorry excuse for a reporter. I’ve had the experience of dealing with her in the past and she will not allow her interviewing subjects to rest until she gets an answer out of them that is favorable to her. This clip is a prime example of her behavior- she is definitely the lowest point of WSFA’s news staff.
I’ve been interviewed before by Eileen. I found her to be very open and fair.
#39 – asking Love if he supports Bush was a very good question, since Love’s answer would reveal where he stands. Love said he would never run from his party, but he sure was dodging the Bush question.
#42 – killing the messenger won’t work. Love and his thugs got caught deceiving the voters. Now every voter knows that they cannot trust ANYTHING Jay Love says in his ads. Face it, Jay made a very poor decision when he folded to RNCC pressure to take his campaign negative.
You better believe that Bright was pressured and is probably still being pressured by the DCCC to go negative. But Bright stayed positive – so, in effect, he has already stood up to Pelosi and the DCCC. That tells me that he’ll do just fine in Washington. We need a lot more like him, in both parties.

as for eileen jones, she asked 2 tough questions, of love “do you support bush” that is tough because of the president’s low approval rating, love answered correctly. and for bobby, “do you support obama” that is tough because the majority in alabama do not support obama, bright screwed up and put himself in a bind by answering “yes” – don’t shoot the messenger on this, it is not eileen’s fault that bobby doesn’t have a damn clue who he is or what he stands for.
POST # 45. Where are your POLLS ? You have no poll that shows Jay Love ahead or you would spread it to the world immediately. By the way, your own camp is falling apart. One of your staff, while enjoying the nightlife a little too much told folks that the Love campaign knows its over for them. They are soon without jobs and they are planning their departure.
# 45 – still trying to keep the dream alive huh? DCCC vs Freedom’s Watch and RNC/RNCC? Love’s promoters outspent Bright’s promoters and still can’t move Love up in the polls. Love could have resisted the pressure and stayed positive and ran a campaign that promoted Jay Love, but he did not. Now he’s stuck in negative and can’t go positive because it will make him look like he is pandering to the voters. I told you guys in another thread that the Obama Yes ad would ruin your campaign. Your really stepped on your pud airing that one. Your NEVER air any ad that your opponent can respond to in 60 seconds or less. Not only did he respond, he got the media to do it for him. He and his staff have stomped you at every turn, it’s as if he’s got a mole in the Love camp, like he knows what you’ll do next and already has the response ready. In addition, you failed in every effort to force Bright to go negative. He’s a lot tougher and smarter than you presumed. He has PROVED that he is the right man for the job.
#46 – I heard that too, from a friend that frequents the club where one of Love’s primary staff members likes to have a few too many before turning in.

Also, Senator Smith, if you’re tuned in to all this nonsense, please keep fighting the state republican party. We have to get rid of these ultra-right wing thugs and take back our party. I want the Ronald Reagan Republican Party back, and I believe that you may be the person that can move us back to where we should be. Your victory in Geneva county is just what we needed. A 19-11 win indicates that the ultra-right is losing ground. Stay in the fray, there are a lot of true Republicans counting on you.

#49 – Check the FEC records for Freedom’s Watch, RNCC, and Love’s media buys. Over $1,000,000.00 and climbing. But, in typical Repubathug fashion it’s much easier to deny the truth and keep sending out alternate propoganda.
The Geneva county results are extremely important because it shows that the county committees are not in lock-step with the Hubbard placed cronies. If Hubbard presses too hard the party will splinter and crumble. I can live with that if it means we return to the Republican Party we used to be. I’m fed up with dictatorial leadership and threats of expulsion if I think for myself. Heck bub, Ill go back to being a dues paying Democrat if they continue to move more to center. We, the people, are fed up with the extreme fringes running our government and our lives.
Regarding raised taxes – check the record bub, the Republican controlled Mountgomery County Commission raised Montgomery’s sales tax to 10%, not Bright. The state legislature, you know the same elected body that Jay Love is a member of, raised property taxes, not Bright.
I’ll end by saying McCain (probably)/Sessions/Bright.
