Love is done after that interview.
uh, 50 – ricky stokes is far from relevant. but i’m with ya otherwise: bobby hasn’t a clue and it shows. heard there is some info in the works about a deal bobby could have made with a company for the city that would have saved ALOT of money but he didn’t do it. something in the workers comp bill review section of the city budget. bobby didn’t look out for the citizens of montgomery then and he won’t do it in washington. oh and bobby/obama ‘08 baby! such a relief that he went ahead and got this support speech out of the way.
What part of the question “Do you support Barrack Obama” did Bright not understand? If the guy is that big of an idiot he doesn’t need to be a Congressman. If the Love ad is that bad for him then the Bright crew should send him more money to air it. My guess is bright campaign spent months keeping him away from having to answer the question and he finally fessed up that he was supporting Obama.
I saw the WSFA report and it confirms that the ad is completly legitimate. If the Bright crew is upset they should produce and run a spot showing the whole answer. Bright still looks bad either way.

didn’t catch the wsfa piece is there a link online? not sure how they could portray this as anything but the truth, hell bobby just stands there plain as day, clearer than his vision through the windshield of his ford and says “yes.” if he is elected, then bobby and obama will work hand in hand, wow. obama may be a little upset since bobby thinks artur davis should be king, but i bet barack will get over it when he and bobby have drinks.
Love has done this to himself. He cant blame a loss on anyone but himself.
I am glad this happened. It will keep future elections from going in the gutter. It is time people are held accountable for political ads.
I saw the WSFA story. Eileen was obviously ticked with Jay Love when she interviewed him tonight. Each of us will see the story through the lens of what we believe. I personally think it reflected poorly on Jay.

I will go much farther than most on the forum and say JAY LOVE is nothing but a sleazy slimy lying goof wad. He has really done it now by distorting Bright’s statement and making a lying ad of it. You can bet your bottom dollar that Bright will get revenge on November 4 and that Love and his cronies will get the message loud and clear. Bright will take this election easily now since Love has totally made a baffoon of himself by being so openly dishonest.
What a shame folks for someone who claims to be deacon to do something like this….

Bright has last his momentum in the polls. He peaked at the wrong time. Buying endorsements doesn’t help matters for him in Dothan either.

This ad fits the typical Love ad–shady and misleading.
Another question to raise–what is the issue with the rise in Montgomery municipal spending under Bright’s tenure? From my sense, much of that has been very positive for the city–look at the Riverfront development and the Convention Center. This area is good for the Montgomery and the municipal investments have and will continue to grow the economy.
That picture of Bright on the freeze frame with the cheesy smile and puffy side hair is pretty funny though.
Bright’s desperation on here shows. You guys are out of control with your allegations. Get a life.
Bobby Bright is counting on an “OBAMA SURGE” in 11 days and he has to play it coy. When he was forced to answer the question, he was forced to tell the truth for once in this campaign.
Do you Bright staffers recognize that term “OBAMA SURGE”? Too many of your play books floating around and it would be terrible if that got into the hands of the press these last few days.
So, Bobby Bright doesn’t support the surge strategy in Iraq, but he does support an Obama surge strategy here in Alabama? Geez. . .
Bobby would have not have run unless Obama was the nominee. He is counting on a record black turn out that will vote straight democrat. While at the same time, Bright runs around talking about what a republican he is. He knows he has the black vote no matter what he says or does…and yes, he hopes for a record turn out. But an endorsement here or there, a few absentees here and there…and hope for the best surge you can get!!!

Just look back to Jay Love’s race against Bob McKee. He’s played dirty in every race he has been in.

None of the polls have yet factored in the Obama surge (they are using generally 25% minority vote when it will clearly be much higher)and Bright is still ahead in every one. Recently a major Love supporter who is a businessman in the wiregrass revealed that Love is trailing and knows it from his own polls “but they are going to work very hard over the next two weeks” Get ready, Jay and his comocozi campaign staff will go for the BIG ONE in the next days. NOTHING TO LOSE at this point!!!!!!

84, I agree. Jay looks like he now knows he was led down the wrong path by campaign staff and has no way out but continuing a path to nowhere. I really think he was raised to be a good person and is uncomfortable with the way his campaign has turned.
61, how I wish I was getting paid. I am just an old person living on social security. The Love staff can ridicule us old people all you want, but our votes will be counted for Bright on election day. If you can really convince me that Bright is voting for Obama, I will vote for Obama also. I respect Bright and his opinions…post 60
Love staff is very to what Karl Rove did to George Bush. I may not W but I know that he is a good man that ruined by the people around him, much like Michael Lowery has done to love!!! On, don’t forget Johnathan Stacy!!!
