In the wake of Jay Love’s ad that came out today, Bobby Bright has an ad out today which, if I understand correctly, is running in both AL-02 TV markets.

“He will not say he is going to vote for Obama because he knows he will lose votes. He will not say he is voting for McCain because it will make his dem supporters mad,”….
SO what you are saying is that Bright makes decisions based on what is politically expedient for him?? yes, that is what you are saying and that shows the kind of person that he is, a political hack!
Anyone that is running for US Congress, to go to DC to work with other members and the next President of the United States, that cannot say who they support for President, or US Senate for that matter, is NOT a leader, is NOT his own man, and obviously IS concerned about partisanship. Thanks for trying Bobby, but you can’t take a stand.
it just don’t matter who Bright’s gonna back for president. he is running his race, his way, and doing a pretty good job of it. as far as being nonpartisan, thats what he’ll be and always has been. as mayor of montgomery he did the right thing, not the political thing. he made lots of dems mad and lots of repubs mad, but once they realized he was always going to do what was best for the city and the people, most of those who hated him started respecting him. i say give him two years to show us what’s he made of. as far as what jobs he’s had, beside being a farmer, he was a prison guard, then an attorney, then the mayor. he is lots more qualified than love to serve in congress. R.Rabton
Rabton, i bet he did (well, i know he did) make a lot of people mad when they realized that what HE thought was “best for the city” was higher taxes…
oh, and thanks for telling us he was a “prison guard”…that explains how he got that terrible temper that we’ve heard is pretty scary…
Check out Love’s ad on immigration. It’s the same as the one below it. As cookie cutter as you can get. The fact is that Love has done NOTHING on immigration… or tax cuts… or energy… or anything he talks about. Bright actually cracked down on illegal immigration.

“it just don’t matter who Bright’s gonna back for president”….
you must be from dale county buddy.
It matters. And the fact Bright can’t say who he supports in such an important election where the choices are very different, shows he is not his own man, will not take a stanf, and is not a leader.
I love how Love’s lackies keep posting the same misleading statements over and again, then responding to their own prior posts, as if repeating false logic will make it all the more convincing.
Bright is concentrated on District 2 not the presidential election. He is not supporting anyone so that he can work with either person that is elected. Bright has not brought Obama into this race; he has not brought Bush into this race; Bright has not brought McCain / Palin into this race. He is not making enemies with anyone. Bright is running on what HE can do and leaving his options open to work with anyone that is elected by either party.
Jay Love has:
1. made enemies with the other party
2. He already said he is going to vote against Polosi no matter her position
3. He has said that Politics is a “team game” that you have to pick one side or the other (Dem or GOP)
See link to his own webpage http://www.jayloveforcongress.com/node/27
4. He has already hoped on the coattails of McCain / Palin in his last ad
This does not sound like someone that can get things done working with the other party, and some one that can not win on his own policies and achievements
Pelosi, Rangle, Howard Dean, Obama – if Bright wants to be supportive of them…..go ahead. They certainyl are supportive of him with loads on money. Going once, going twice, SOLD TO THE DEM PARTY. But don’t dare mention Bright is a democrat…because he is his own man. He proves that by saying who he supports for President. Oh wait……he doesn’t.
McCain/Palin, Jeff Sessions, Jay Love
Obama/Biden, Vivian Figures, Bobby Bright
Easy choice for most folks…..
Why could it not be McCain/Palin, Sessions, & Bright
That is what my ticket will look like
Unbelievable website … so much venom and ridicule for two candidates that seem to lack … neither one conjures up the confidence, the trust in either party ….. so much baggage with each, so much baggage to be spilled to public scrutiny … one with seemingly little ethics – out for self gain with little genuine, pure desire for service of people .. more inclined to “play the game” for advancement, bowing down to whomever furthers their position, the other, a leader of a city that is crime ladden, poor schools, high taxes … When this website is read, the hope for something better is shadowed by innuendo, accusations of incompetence, shady dealings … Poor is the judgment of the well meaning people who have annointed these as the chosen ones … Perhaps next time …. our choices will be more well thought, well measured … If you think differently, all you have to do is read previous posts of everyone … its a sad thing to witness …
At the end of the day… being November 2nd… it will come down to who you trust.
#162…it is nice…that you took the time…to…let us know…how you feel…even though…it is a little weird…that you use…so many…
Funny 165 … Fallin’ out here ..
Yes, all Bright voters please do go vote on November 2d as Post 163 noted. Al Love voters, please show up Nov 4th.
This just occurred to me. (I’m slow.)
If the whole guilt by association thing is really serious, as in Bright is a Dem, so he is automatically in bed with ALL Dems, than isn’t Love in bed with all Reps? …Larry Craig and Troy King and Mark Foley (the House pageboy hunter)
If there is just no-doubt that Bright will blindly follow the Dems in Congress, than shouldn’t we assume Jay Love will blindly follow the Republicans?
Mrs. Love should not suffer because of blind party loyalty.
I almost forgot Bob Packwood, Bob Livingston, Newt Gingrich, Don Sherwood, and David Vitter.
Jay Love will be a loser in November. He will be in Montgomery crying over the loss and eating his Subway sandwiches.
