Show some class and say “I’m a Republican and am against Bright” rather than lying, although that is the Official Jay Love Strategy.

Of course Mr. Love is going to be a gentleman in the general election campaign. But He is not going to “dummy up” and not talk about party affiliation and point out that his opponent is on the other side.

Also, the part about “building an honest,productive consensus between myself and my opponent and between our political parties on the issues challenging our state and our nation today.” What the heck is he talking about? — General elections, i.e., Democratic candidates vs. Republican candidates, is about stating differences in party philosophy and any individual differences that the two candidates might have. Does Bobby want him and Mr. Love to run around holding hands also? I almost wanted to puke when I read that one.

It sounds like to me that Mr. Bright wants Mr. Love to keep quiet and don’d talk about him being a democrat, and not to talk about how he raised taxes in Montgomery, and not talk about his stance on the sanctity of human life, etc.

Let’s face it, if elected, his first vote would be to elect his buddy, Nancy Pelosi (see campaign contributions) to the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Then he would meet with his buddy Mr. Obama, (see campaign contributions from Illinois) if he is elected president, and find out what his role would be and how, as a devoted democrat, he is supposed to “tow the party line.”

Bobby, you have insulted my intelligence, and I’m sure you have insulted many other district 2 residents, by presenting us with this bogus pledge bull—! Why don’t you take the “pledge” and stick it where the “sun don’t shine.”
