After returning and going over these postings,I can’t help but wonder what we and the rest of the people would do if JL did get congressman.Because it seems that there couldn’t be a better man for the job than Mr Bright.I certainly hope he wins.

#65: I don’t know why I should make a rebuttal to your comments. I really don’t think anyone on either side has taken you serious since 3 out of 4 remarks in your post were personal attacks and name calling, Real classy and educated by the way.

However, let me clear up one thing you stated. This race might be up in the air, the White House might be up in the air, the Senate is definitely up in the air, but Congress is going to be blue after November. The only way the GOP will pick up enough seats to control Congress is if some major mess up (like Katrina ) happens and is blamed on the Dems, and even with Bush in office till well after the election that is still a hard prediction to make.

little College Dem. When the rates were high in the 70’s, so realize that a Republican led the way out of the recession? You probably were not alive then, but this can not be disputed.
Haha..everything you said can be disputed. The only reason democrats would be in control would be if dumbasses such as yourself, continue to elect more democrats. Recall the Clinton administration, and how the REPUBLICAN Congress led the way. Just because someone is projected to win the WH in November, doesn’t mean that their party will control the House and Senate. Don’t you know how politics work little boy.

I know for a fact ,the repubs wanted him ,they flew him to Washington and tried to negociate him being their candidate .but he refused , The Democrats was also wanting him too.he chose what he thought was the best. so the rest is history.And you know it is a shame when parties do those things.ISAY VOTE FOR THE MAN NOT THE PARTY.Bobby will work with both parties to try to get the right thing done .BELIEVE IT!!

Your remarks about the party’s affiliation are simply redundant. First off, who cares about who asked Bobby to run on what ticket? Most Alabamians I know don’t! Most of them I have talked to have said they are proud Bobby made the decision to run as a Democrat since the DEMS are now and will be in CONTROL of CONGRESS for the next few years. If you’d listened to the debates closely, you’d have heard him make that same statement and this can’t be disputed!

Secondly, the man is wise enough to know this country is headed in the wrong direction and that drastic measures must be taken soon to reverse the out of control spending or our dollars will be worth only dimes. This can’t be disputed! The US is spending billions of borrowed dollars per month in IRAQ alone. This does not include Afganistan.

Thats borrowed money that we and our children will be forced to repay. This can’t be disputed!

Have you looked at the present rate of inflation lately? Rates are the highest since the 70s and getting higher everyday. Have you tracked the stocks lately? Hard working American families can’t afford health care and are losing their hard earned retirement savings due to the present status of the economy. And here you are wanting to debate party’s which in my opinion is nonsense!

thanks college guy – glad you are in the know. we all believe you and can put that issue to bed. just one thing though, are you saying that because grimes said it, that it is then true? interesting. bright may have a friend or two that vote and possibly donate republican, and they MAY have asked him to consider running as a republican out of that friendship. but i will bet your northface jacket and the 18 pairs of patagonias that you own, no republican leader asked bobby to run as a republican.

If so, then why did I hear David Grimes say that he decided to run after Bright said he was running as a Democrat. It was on April 23 at an event that the Troy College Republicans hosted. Grimes talked for while over 5 mins about how he was expecting Bright to run as Republican. He talked that about how Bright was pressured by Republican leaders. If fact the majority of his Q&A was about Mayor Bright.

I am glad the Republican Chairman, Mike Hubbard, got his little call boy, Jay Love, the nomination. But most importantly I’m glad that the best man in this race decided to run as a Democrat.

Just thought I’d let you in the KNOW Mr. Anonymous.
