After two and a half years and over 800 daily entries, G’s Daily News Digest will no longer be part of the Political Parlor. G has been quite faithful with his morning news roundups, and I have enjoyed and appreciated having the Daily News Digest here at the Parlor. I know many readers have as well.
My intention is to roll out later this week a morning post of headlines from around the state in a daily automated process. It certainly won’t be any match for what we have enjoyed by having the discerning eye of a human being who culls the news and writes a brief summary, but I hope a quick scan of the morning headlines will be useful on its own.

Nooooooooooooooooo!
Why does a good thing have to go?
Say it aint so Danny!!!!!! That is a very popular part of the Parlor.
Indeed it was. G had a very good eye for political stories and op-eds. His news links were what attracted me to the parlor.
If it will help, I’ll give him a free puppy.
G, Thank you for having done the headlines for so long. It was my first stop each morning.
Thanks for so much for so long G. The summary was often my first stop as well. This is an opportunity for perhaps another to step up yet I/we know the time required for such a task. A team effort might be an option. Like much in the blogosphere I expect it will be a labor of love.
G.
Thanks for your effort. It was greatly appreciated.
I’m sorry to see it go, as well. It was the first thing I read each morning. Good luck, G.
Danny, I’m sure you will continue to keep us informed.

The most useful part of the Parlor. Please find a way to continue something similar.
Nooo! Keep it!
Say it ain’t so
Sad to hear the news (or lack thereof)…
It seems to be unanimous that G performed a great service that will be sorely missed. I’ve had many people echo the sentiments expressed in prior comments here.
