Sessions Figures On Victory

Blue Donkey and Red ElephantGood news for Dems in the U.S. Senate: “Early polling has shown at least ten Republican Senate seats are potentially in play” this year. Bad news for state Dems: Alabama is not one of them.

GOP incumbent Jeff Sessions leads likely Democratic nominee Vivian Figures by over 30 percentage points, 62% to 29%, according to Rasmussen reports. In addition, 72% of Alabamians have a very or somewhat favorable opinion of Sessions – which all in all feels remarkably high.

Rassmussen Reports has also learned that Alabama is the only state surveyed so far where more respondents (51%) say it is more important to win the war in Iraq than to bring the troops home. 43% believe the opposite.

And, hold on to your hat, McCain leads Obama in Alabama.

Who did Rasmussen poll, the GOP? Certainly not GI’s and Veterans after Senator Sesssion voted no for the GI Bill. Certainly not the families of our troops who are on their third tour of duty in Iraq. Certainly not those citizens that want our troops home NOW and not 100 years from now. Certainly not the families of the 500+ dead soldiers from Alabama. Who exactly did they poll? We need to see some raw numbers and some raw data.
