Email from someone I would consider quite reliable:
[The Alabama] Supreme Court denied the Governor’s and Bradley Byrne’s Request for a Stay of the preliminary injunction pending their appeal of the preliminary injunction. This means legislators can continue to operate under the injunction handed down by Hardwick and go about their legislative duties using flex-time etc. while the case continues.

If true, all this means is that the Justices know full well who approves the budget for the courts…and it is NOT Bradley Byrne.
They waited until the General Fund budget was signed into law before making this decision.
Perhaps, but there are two more General Fund budgets to be adopted by the currently elected members of the Alabama Legislature before the next election.
I am offended that anyone would suggest that some of the members of the Alabama Supreme Court would allow politics to affect their vote on a case.
Good one, Roy!
