Many real-life considerations made it feasible to only go to one convention, so I applied for the one where I thought the action would be. The GOP race effectively ended much earlier, and the Dems had talk of a floor-fight or a deadlock at the convention. Plus, the Democrats were overall more intentional about encouraging bloggers to attend (arranging for one per state and more, etc.).
