JD,
You obviously don't know me very well. I might be lots of things, but being one who doesn't attend to his duties or being afraid to face an issue aren't among them. If I was ducking this issue, why did I come on this blog and express my opposition to this bill in its present form? Why was I in the Huntsville Times expressing my concerns about this bill. Like I said, not voting on a constitutional amendment has exactly the same effect as a no.

Come by and see me sometime if you're in Montgomery and I'll be glad to show you what I do. I'm busy as a pair of jumper cables at a family reunion. Yes, I will occasionally miss a vote because I'm on the phone, drafting legislation, in another meeting, up in the Senate, or in the restroom (I'm not quite as dedicated as Steve Windom was a few years ago :)

Rule 32 was suspended by agreement with the person who first invoked it. It was not enforced because it was not invoked.

Doesn't do any good if Ball is not where is is paid to be. On the floor of the House. Skipping a vote is a Montgomery move to avoid an issue.

Saw today Hinsaw admitted to voting several machines.

One man one vote, not in the Alabama House

JD - if referring to mike ball, i will call you to task on him being "weak or paid off". Rep Ball is one of the good guys, having more in montgomery like him would be a welcome change.

Not voting is the age old excuse by the weak or the paid off in Montgomery. After a 62% pay raise you would think they would be at their desk for a key vote.

I don't think Hinshaw is under "subpoena" any longer. He didn't take the 5th like the rest of them. He went in and testified and was subsequently cleared by the grand jury.

Rep Randy Hinshaw voted the machine of Rep. Duwayne Bridges, who is out of the country. Rep Hinshaw, who posts on this blog on occassion cheated the taxpayers just as he does with his job.

JD,
I did not vote for that bill. It was a constitutional amendment requiring 63 affirmative votes to pass. I was on the phone when they called for the vote, but not voting on this has exactly the same effect as a NO....
