David Woods On the Air

Filed under: Campaign & Election, AL and DC — Danny @ 9:15 am

David Woods, GOP candidate for AL-02, is on the air with a TV commercial.

We’ve noted the race’s first ad on the radio and first ad on TV. One reader believes this is the first ad of the race on network TV as opposed to cable TV.

Update: A reader writes, “Actually, Craig Schmidtke has been on broadcast in Dothan for about 10 days.”

  1. Nerd, and a religious nerd.

  2. Yeah they are all gonna talk about how religious they are, and we have another candidate that got elected with an ad that was a blatant lie in his first campaign telling us what a Christian he is. Is dliberately lying the sort of “Christian conservative” values Jay Love wabts to bring to Washington? They already have those values there. Jay would be right at home with all the dirty tricks.

  3. Everything Rino Jay Love and David WEoods claim to be David Grimes actually is. Hopefully voters will see past the fog of untruth those guys are creating and realize Grimes has never lied to voters like Love has and Woods may be doing now.

  4. Grimes or Smith would be much better representatives than Woods or Love or Dr. Schmitdke.

  6. Imagine that - the Harri Anne Kool Aid drinkers are back. If it’s not something good about her - they throw mud and spew venom. Bunch of nut cases I say.

  7. I’m sorry folks, but Grimes doesn’t have a chance. Nice guy - but no chance.

  8. So Vote Grimes: I know both Grimes and Woods. They are friends and have respect for each other. I also know Grimes would never insinuate Woods truthfulness and sincerity as anything other than what it is. “Fog of untruth” .. hmmm … seems you’re the one in a “fog” …

  9. That is very true about Woods. That fog of untruth comment is crazy…they obviously don’t know the man. And any Grimes supporter would not throw a stone of that nature toward Woods. Toward someone else maybe…but not Woods.

  10. Just FYI - this is the real JT. Apparently someone used my initials! So be it…Things are off to the races I see.

  11. Hmmm . . .someone imitates JT and slings mud at Harri Anne Smith. Didn’t someone on here say that the Smith people sling all the mud? I guess the difference is that when the Love guys do it they add the additional twist of hiding their identities . . .just like Jay himself likes to hide things . . .maybe that’s the master plan for the campaign . . .hey it worked before.

  12. Dear “Not Really Bob McKee”: You are doing exactly what folks on here have been complaining about. Preach it to someone that cares and talk about a real issue.

    Comment by BigMac — April 7, 2008 @ 1:14 pm

  13. You’re right BigMac. Deliberate dishonesty, hypocrisy, and hiding who is behind your campaign aren’t real issues. The real iussue here is who can say “Christian” the most in a 30 second TV spot.

  14. Yep - those Harri Anne supporters are a fine group of folks I see - throw mud and yell the loudest and hope no one notices their own weakness and lack of depth.

    Comment by WakeUp! — April 7, 2008 @ 2:29 pm

  15. At #14, the comment you reference said nothing about Smith, Love, or anyone else in this race. It is telling, however, that you immediately knew which candidate was referenced by the terms “dishonesty, hypocrisy, and hiding who is behind your campaign.”

    That says volumes.

  16. Dear “anonymous” - to me it looks like “WakeUp” said nothing about who they were referring to…only that it had to come from the Harri Anne Smith camp. That’s the whole point skippy. When attacks are thrown and mud slung…it’s always the Harri Anne crew that leads the pack in that regard. Doesn’t matter is it is Wood, Love or Schmidtke - they go after whoever they think could hurt their precious candidate the most. I agree with WakeUp - those folks just want to yell.
