Scorpius:
We all know who you are. You are a paid Republican consultant who has made every possible effort oust Mr. Oden because he would not say yes to all things Riley and Hubbard. God forbid he not be 100% with you guys. Perhaps if the Governor actually gave something to his GOP supporters they might be more inclined to carry his stinky water. We have heard alot of talk about how corrupt Don was. All should wait and see how all things fall out for Riley and Mr. Rove, oh I mean Canary. You guys are a bunch of intellectual whores. Anyone want to look into the Beasley Rob Riley connection. The Gov could care less that Exxon screwed the state. What he is concerned about is Exxon put the wood to Beasley who in turn could not pay the big check to little Rob. You folks really thing no one is watching. When Papa Riley is out and where he can't threaten folks with state contract work all will come out. You folks have been so aggressive you have alot of folks in your own circle ready to roll on you. A little white office near the Montgomery County Courthouse is going to be in the papers alot. Enjoy DS and WJC.

Gunney Highway--Well said.......I am a Republican who despises the direction in which the party inner circle is trying to force us. As for Mr. Scorpedo's laughable commentary on conservatism and Mr Oden's district, it should say something that Mr. Oden's district supported Roy Moore over Bob Riley. Maybe Roy is not conservative enough for Mr. Scorpedo but it seems as though the good people in Cullman County voted for a Right Winger of the highest order(Moore), Mr Oden, and one the finest black gentlemen (Fields) in the state of Alabama. I guess they are just confused enough to be unbiased and non discrimnatory in who they support. You and I both served our country in wartimes to give "sourpuss" the right to gripe, but I agree with you, I would like to know what he has given to the cause or any cause for that matter.

Sour Puss,

Who cares what water Jeremy carries, and for whom he carries it? I'll gaurantee his folks back home don't -- 54% say so.

Selling out to Paul Hubbert. I tell ya, you've really gotten creative with that one. Please don't pull out all the stops on me just yet. As for Seth Hammett, there hasn't been as efficient a House body in the history of our state. With efficient, I mean that the will of the minority has never had it so good. Given your posts, I take it you support the minority, and I hope you like it there becuase your party doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of taking the House in 2010. No matter how many sniveling 150 lb. panty-wastes you find to bad mouth Paul Hubbert.

The only Gop brethren bad-mouthing Jeremy you speak of Sour Puss are the core fifteen of medieval idiocy. Those willing to die upon the sword for nothing if not ideology and Bob Riley's empty pledges may carry on my fair heroes... as you lose time and time again. I'll take it you're either one of their consultants or defacto spiritual guide...losers.

RINO? Who cares? I guess Jeremy's trying to live up to your lofty standards of defeat. I imagine he'll take the discretionary money and powerful committee assignments and walk. Better than losing, Loser.

Speaking of Jeremy's intellectual capacities, I doubt he's seeking your approval. Other than cut-and-pasting from the Alabama Republican Party soundbytes, I can't see any noticeable skills of your own.

Also let me address "I know Conservatism is far superior to modern Liberalism." You do. I'll be damned, all these elections and such are for nothing you say. Well, a soon to be trillion dollar war (one I participated in, doubt you did...typical Republican -- do a push up), a poop economy ripe with de-regulated failure, and an expanded social security program to buy your sorry candidates votes that we can't pay for...oh yeah, conservatism rocks.

Sour Puss, my suggestion to you first of all is to shut up. The next would be to invest in some tissue because your party's future, if left up to the zealots such as yourself, looks mighty bleak indeed. Whichever candidate we elect President is going to put you weirdos out of business in Alabama. I don't care what party they belong to.

I apologize if this blog offends anyone other than Sour Puss.

Martinsville. Go Junior!

Pollutedjunkie (aka, Rep. Oden???),

I haven't got a care in the world if a representative of the people has the audacity to actually represent the people--- on principle. Selling out to Paul Hubbert and Seth Hammett for personal political gain isn't doing that.

If standing up for Conservative principles and calling attention to counterfeit "Conservatives" earns me the label, "Right Wing Nut," then I'm the Coco De Mer of the Conservative movement.

I don't claim to possess ESP, but having ESP isn't a prerequisite to being a common-sense, principled Conservative.

So, do I think I know what's best for people? I know Conservatism is far superior to modern Liberalism.

And while I will allow for honest disagreement of various opinions and suggested methods for public policy/solutions, I'd sure as fire know when I was selling out to the other side to garner a plum committee assignment, or I'd know I was being unfaithful to my party's credo if I was doing the bidding of Paul Hubbert to further his agenda.

Spare me your laughable righteous indignation.

And don't get me started again on the political IQ of his district---it got me censored last time.

BTW, I meant just as I said, "single-brain-celled dope."

Uncle Gunney,

Yes, I've talked to and been around Oden before---numerous times. And each time, it reinforces my assessment of his buffoonery.

And calling him a "little strange" is like calling water a "little wet."

No, I don't have poll numbers to point to, but I do know he'd have as much chance as Perry Hooper Jr. did: zilch and none.

And since you are appealing to me about winning friends and influencing people and talking about being on the "same team," I find it highly ironic you'd openly, enthusiastically endorse a guy who has carried water for the other team.

In fact, in your first near-orgasmic post you acknowledge that, "He has endured considerable criticsm over the years for failure to toe the party line..." Why would that be, Uncle Gunney? If Oden was, in fact, on the same team, why would so many GOP brothers and sisters (or "teammates") disparage the guy's record?

You admit that the RINO commentary would be forthcoming. Why would that be? Perhaps because if it walks and talks like a RINO, it must be a RINO?

His obvious party loyalty deficiencies aside, I don't think he has the intellectual capability nor the functional ability to grasp and execute the duties of either PSC President or State Treasurer. At all. And I'm in the vast majority of people I talk to around this state who knows the moron.

Apart from his raging desire to be on the public dole, what actually QUALIFIES him to do anything but bag groceries or scrape roadkill?

George Wallace Jr on the PSC with Susan Parker would mean a 2 vote advantage for the consumer....that would be first on the PSC.

It is always amazing to me how the "right Wing" nuts think that if an individual has the audacity to think on his or her own, and actually vote in a manner that is best for the district they represent, they are portrayed as low life back stabbing idiots. I guess the folks who elected Mr. Oden have some idea of his mental and political abilites or does Mr.Scorpius have ESP and like most folks of his ideaology, think "they" know what's best for the people? I must assume Mr. Scorpius, you are also calling the people in his district "unmitigated single brained cell dopes as well" (think you must have meant single cell brained dopes) since they re-elected him in spite of the efforts of the AL State GOP, Alfa, BCA, and a few rear ends like you. It must really hurt you to see the people have the final say on an issue.... With all your verbage and brainpower, you need to run for an elected office and then you could grow to be another Mark Montiel.

Scorpius,

Have you ever actually talked to Rep. Oden? He is a little strange, but so what. His knowledge of state and local politics is actually rather deep. I sincerely doubt he would get shelacked by anyone already committed to the PSC race. If you have poll numbers that say otherwise, do tell.

Settle down a little, you're beginning to sound like the Republican consultant around the corner. In the end, we're actually all on the same team.

Some time back news reports indicated that George Wallace Jr might run for PSC President. The door is open for George to run, win, and serve effectively on the PSC.
