Amen to Bob McKee's comment on Jay Love. Love is a tax-and-spend liberal wolf in a conservative sheep's clothing. He voted for Amendment One, the largest tax increase proposal in Alabama history. He was the Minority Whip (chief spokesman) for the Republican plan to raise taxes on gas drilling off the Alabama coast. He took the 60% pay raise the Legislature voted themselves and said he gave it to charity. He took our money and gave it to charity. If he had been a true conservative, he would have given it back to the treasury. Then he has the nerve in his ads to say he is a conservative and opposed to higher taxes. Who does he think he's kidding?

The Alabama State Employess Union made change a big priority in 2002 when they were the biggest contributor and the force behind Jay Love unseating true conservative Bob McKee. House district 74 replaced a man who fought ALL tax hikes with one who immediately voted for the biggest tax hike in US history.

There's change for you - and not the kind people in district 2 want. They didn't want it in Alabama House district 74 either, but Jay, Jere Beasley (a major Jay Love donor) and Paul Hubbert(ditto on Jay Love backer) fooled them.

He's doing the exact same thing again - right down to hiding his donors. Hopefully, the voters are too smart (notice I did NOT say "bright") to get fooled again by Jay Love.

This ad had me wondering if Jay was a Democrat with all the familiar liberal faces in there . . .oh wait, Jay is funded by the same people as Hillary, Obama and Ted Kennedy (the labor unions) . . . forget it, those are Jay's fellow travelers . . .

It's an oxymoron only if you believe that things are fine the way they are and Nancy Pelosi and friends run a pretty tight ship. It seems like we need conservative change now more than ever.

Is it an oxymoron to use the words conservative and change in the same sentence?
