Looks like the session may be off to a more promising start in terms of working through the Senate deadlock, I remarked to one legislative insider yesterday.
“Yes,” was the reply, acknowledging that there were hopeful signs. “Maybe. That move to put Bishop into Jabo’s spot on the Senate Rules Committee, it may throw a kink somehow. Some didn’t like the move, it was kind of a jab at Lowell. With that out there, you never know what’s going to happen.”
“If Tuesday goes smooth, we may be on a smooth path. Tuesday may set the tone for the session.” Then the caveat, “I don’t know. I don’t understand the Senate. Nobody knows that animal. It’s 35 different people, 35 different opinions.”
