U.S. Rep. Jo Bonner (R – Mobile) is in contention to fill a vacant seat on the House Appropriations Committee, according to CQ Politics.
A GOP observer tells the Parlor, “He’s been lobbying for it for 6 years. If he does, I’d be shocked if he ever left that House seat and it would be a big deal for Alabama.”
Representatives Robert Aderholt (R – Haleyville) and Bud Cramer (D – Huntsville) already serve on the committee.
