There sure are a lot of hateful comments posted above. Lucy Baxley is a great public servant, and should be governor now. But, since she lost, I think this could be a great position for her.

Just a question to those of you that said she will lose - What makes you think that?

We continue to hear that former PSC Commissioner George Wallace Jr. (R) is looking at a run, though the story is that if Sullivan runs for re-election then Wallace’s participation becomes iffier.
In short, she needs a job and her daughter needs gainful employment. The real estate market isn't so hot these days.

This may sound rude, but I think it is a legitimite question: what does it say about Alabama politics when the person that big-money supporters choose to run for important government decisions making important decisions about billions of dollars is someone over 70 years old who is recovering from a life-threatening illness?

A political campaign can be a way of learning retirement is an option. Think back to Jim Folsom's last campaign.

On an unrelated note, when will papers quit trying to compete with TV stations/You Tube, etc? Print and still pictures are still the best way to give the news.

Sad. I wish she would just take it easy and enjoy her retirement years. She will lose this race.
