On BCA, Bill Floyd and the HD 12 Race

HD 12On the matter of whether Bill Floyd is supported by the Business Council of Alabama in the House District 12 race… an elected official weighed in with the Political Parlor:

I think you were right the first time on BCA’s endorsement [that BCA is supporting Republican HD 12 candidate Bill Floyd]. While they “officially” depends on their local committee to determine who they will endorse they often pick a candidate long before the primary is over. The key for them is they do not like to lose or appear to lose so the campaign contributions in this race will be the key. You will able to see by the reports as to who is supporting Floyd.

While the elected official believes that BCA is supporting Floyd, he does not know first-hand. He adds, “I have seen this happen 100 times before. Not necessarily a bad thing just the way it is with them.”
