Eve of Birmingham Mayoral Election
Signs still point to a run-off between Larry Langford and Patrick Cooper in the Birmingham race for mayor. If that is the case, I will be most interested to see what Langford and Matrix throw Cooper’s way in the run-off campaign.
BTW, though Langford’s campaign did miss the deadline for turning in its financial disclosure report, they did get it in. For the six weeks covered by the report, Langford had a narrow fundraising advantage over Cooper ($159,585 to $156,575). Cooper still easily leads all candidates for total fundraising with $556,854 collected since the campaign began. (Carole Smitherman is second with $322,410. Langford has raised $282,135.)
The election is tomorrow.

GO COOPER GO!! Anyone who talks of the need for fresh blood and new ideas in Alabama politics should be 1000% behind Cooper.
Langford is tired..he should just sign his campaign account over to Al Lapierre, and start designing the cell he will share with Bill Blount in the pokey.

The most important thing that someone can do, regardless of what people are saying will happen, is to VOTE. Make sure that you know where to vote, what the issues are, and VOTE!
