AL-02 Update

Alabama's 2nd Congressional DistrictA reader has taken it upon himself to contact every Republican on the AL-02 Big List to see which, if any, intend to run. I like it.

He has received email from former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Terry Butts saying that Butts cannot see himself as a candidate.

The AL-02 Big List can be accessed from the sidebar, btw.

Also, today the Washington Post blog The Fix takes a look at the district and mentions that Rep. Artur Davis has spoken to Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright about running for the seat. Davis heads up the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s recruitment efforts.

The two best candidates – by far- in this district are Tim James and Harri Anne Smith. They have REAL conservative credentials (they both opposed Amendment 1). Jay Love? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha . . .

Love’s entire career is a creation of PUBLIC UNIONS – Paul Hubbert and the state employees. He voted for the biggest tax increase in AMERICAN HISTORY. He is a bad joke.

You got that right. Love talks GOP but drives up to the State Employees Union and the AEA office on a regular basis to pick
up checks. Tons of teachers and state employees walked door to door every day to get him elected. If state employees and
teacher abandon ship on J Low he can’t even get elected to his pro public employee house district. He also loves to sell sub
sandwiches to state employee and teacher association meetings. Additionally, he seems to sell a lot of sandwiches to groups
who lobby him for votes. No telling how many sandwiches have been bought and thrown
into the trash to get J Low his union money. Love even has been heard to say he is against a right to work state.
