Hooray and hoorah, three cheers for Harri Anne Smith for defeating the gambling interests in Houston County and puting a stop to the Country Crossing Casino. Congratulations to John Giles of Christian Coalition fame for endorsing Senator Smith for her stand against gambling. A mighty minority of evangelicals have prevailed to keep Houston County from sliding down the slippery moral slope of gambling.

A democrat will not win this seat. The only one with a snowball’s chance in hell is Seth Hammet and like I said he has a snowball’s chance in hell and with Bright you would have whoever the council president is as mayor.

With all the people clamoring for a shot at the Repub nomination, it seems like Bright would do better to sit back and let them fight it out while waltzing to the Democratic nomination himself.

If Holley runs for that seat, he would probably do better in the Republican primary. Heaven knows some Senate Democrats would like to see him move on, but promoting him to Congress is not the answer. Is this the same Terry Butts that’s mentioned in Jill Simpson’s affidavit, or am I confusing him with someone else?

Seems a little far fetched, because, why would anyone then vote for him/give him money, unless it was his same Democrat friends?

Seems like his decision would then be lose in the primary or lose in the general?
