Any lawn care tips for fall? Lawn mower maintenance activities? Here are mine for north AL:
Warm season grasses (bermuda) are getting ready to go dormant, and since we’re getting over the drought up here, lay off the fertilizer unless it’s a high K winterizer. Also, mow a little higher than usual.
Aerate, reseed, and fertilize cool season grasses (fescue) and make sure they get good water. Mow normally.
Use your fall leaves! I like mulching mowers for leaves. Make compost piles.
