I dealt with Jim Main in his role with Governor James. Even under difficult circumstances, I found him to be fundamentally honest and decent. I suspect that he should be given much credit for the things that the James administration accomplished and none of the blame for any shortcomings. I don’t know why he would want the job, but he would be the most qulaified former Finance Director to run for the court in years.

Yes, he certainly was chief of staff for Fob. For better or worse, the “legal advisor” title seemed a bit more pertinent to the subject matter of the post. He has worn many hats, and many of them are mentioned in his bio at the link above (on his name at the beginning of the post). Thanks!

Jim Main was actually Fob James’ chief of staff. He also assumed the role of legal advisor, in addition to his chief of staff duties, toward the end of the administration.
