| Screen grab (above) from donsiegelman.org shows state Sen. Jabo Waggoner (with face obscured) misidentified as presidential advisor Karl Rove, according to The Press-Register. |
Karl Rove resigns, effective at the end of this month. Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal have accounts.

| State Senator Jabo Waggoner |
There is no truth to any rumor that his resignation had anything to do with state Sen. Jabo Waggoner being identified as Karl Rove by donsiegelman.org and other sites.
The picture, the sites contend, is of presidential adviser Karl Rove, President Bush, Gov. Bob Riley and Mike Hubbard, chairman of the Alabama Republican Party. In the picture, the face of a man they allege to be Rove cannot be seen, but his hair can.
Another clearer picture of the same scene from a different angle of the president’s arrival at a Montgomery Air Force base reveals that the man is not Rove but, is in fact Senate Minority Leader Jabo Waggoner, R-Vestavia Hills.
(Can any reader connect us up with a picture of that scene with Waggoner’s face visible?)
And on the bigger story of the resignation, want to speculate about the significance of this for the Bush administration?

The Siegelman site gives the photo credit as “government website.” Any chance they would get more specific? I can’t find “government website” anywhere.
I don’t know what “government website” they meant. You can find it at Rep. Mike Hubbard’s website.
Rep. Hubbard’s website isn’t a government website either. It was created and maintained with campaign funds, not taxpayer dollars.
I believe there’s a photo with Waggoner’s face visible hanging in his state house office.
Guess they have a Turd Blossom opening in the White House…
That site needs to get Tommy Gallion to come on board and share his pics
of Tuberville,Fulmer and Rove meeting in the woods up in Scottsboro
planning the demise of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
