McKinney & Pittman in SD 32 Run-Off

AL GOP sends out this release:

McKinney and Pittman in Runoff for Senate District 32

Birmingham – The voting in today’s Republican primary election in Baldwin County requires the the Party to conduct a runoff election. Randy McKinney and Trip Pittman will vie for the Republican nomination in the runoff election on Tuesday, September 11th. The winner of the runoff will face Democrat A.J. Cooper in the special general election to be held Tuesday, October 16th.

“We have two strong candidates in Mr. McKinney and Mr. Pittman,” remarked Alabama Republican Party Chairman Mike Hubbard. “Regardless of the outcome of the runoff, we are confident that we will keep the seat Republican on November 30th.”

In the unofficial results of today’s vote Randy McKinney got 36.04%, Trip Pittman 29.60%, Ed Bishop 14.53%, Albert Lipscomb 14.32%, and Don McGriff 5.51%.
