McKinney Gathers SD 32 Endorsements

Randy McKinney has received endorsements for the Senate District 32 race, according to an announcement released previously that I had not seen before:

MCKINNEY CAMPAIGN RECEIVES ENDORSEMENTS FROM IMPORTANT BUSINESS AND POLITICAL GROUPS

Gulf Shores – After personally interviewing each of the five Republican candidates in the upcoming Senate District 32 special election, several of Alabama’s most important business and political groups have officially endorsed Randy McKinney’s campaign effort.

“Every candidate in this primary sat face-to-face with these groups and fought hard for their endorsement,” McKinney said. “I appreciate that these groups have embraced my vision of providing tax cuts to families and small businesses and ensuring that state government is clear of corruption.”

Among the groups endorsing McKinney’s campaign is the Gulf United Metropolitan Business Organization (GUMBO), a group of business and chamber of commerce leaders whose stated mission is to elect candidates who will support the tourism industry and long-term economic viability of Baldwin County.

The Business Council of Alabama’s Progress PAC, a group dedicated toward the election of pro-business candidates, has also endorsed the McKinney candidacy. BCA’s roughly 5,000 member businesses employ nearly three-quarters of a million Alabamians across the state.

Also adding its support and endorsement is the Alabama Farmers’ Federation. According to its website, the Federation was formed by a group of farmers in 1921 and has grown into the state’s largest organization representing agriculture interests on both a state and federal level.

The Alabama Association of REALTORS has endorsed McKinney’s campaign, as well. For several years, McKinney has worked in the title insurance and real estate brokerage industry and REALTORS across the state have recognized his leadership abilities. The AAR is the only group that did not interview other candidates prior to issuing their endorsement.

To date, none of McKinney’s opponents have been endorsed by groups that have interviewed each of the candidates.
