This happened outside of the legislature, but it’s related: This is the first time I know of that legislators have contributed to blogs — yours, Dan’s and Kathy’s that I know of.
Also inside the legislature, I believe this was the first session that had live audio available from both chambers.

Kathy, the first out lesbian legislator is a great item for the list. I’ll cling to the excuse that the swearing-in happened before the session, but the truth is that this absolutely deserves mention.
