  • Not reported in the Fire College story — no one can authorize any expenditure over $5000 without the Chancellor’s signature. So, I expect the Presidents who may covet that money will need to make their case very compelling. We’ll be watching who beats a path to Mr. Byrne’s door soonest…

    How about the story on time.com that Karl Rove, Bill Canary, Rob Riley and others were involved in “pursuing” Siegelman? Interesting developments, and a national media outlet, not some local newspaper. Tied into the Gonzalez stuff in DC?
