Parlor’s Quality Over Quantity

I wanted to point out that while circumstances around the Political Parlor & Home of Lawn Mower Repair have slowed us down a bit this week, we have still had some fun gems for you this week that you were not finding elsewhere.

You read it here first that Renee Culverhouse resigned as the interim two-year college Chancellor after a brief and stormy tenure as the head of that embattled system.

We have been the only ones to tell you about Democratic Agricultural Commissioner Ron Sparks’s meeting with long time media guru Karl Struble as Sparks continues to work on his next political aspirations, likely to include a run against Sen. Jeff Sessions in 2008.

And we also scooped everybody including The Birmingham News on the confrontation between Senators Charles Bishop (R) and Zeb Little (D) in the Senate last week. The Daily Mountain Eagle even used the Parlor as a source using our account almost verbatim.

I’m grateful to the sources (who do not want to be identified) for these (and other) stories.

BTW, if you have a good story, I would like to hear from you also. I can be reached via the contact page. The link is at the top of the sidebar.

Stay tuned for more exclusives that you won’t find anywhere else.
