Senate Fight Almost Becomes Literal

How tense are relationships in the Senate?

Sources tell the Parlor that Charles Bishop (R – Arley) and Zeb Little (D – Cullman) exchanged “strong words” on the Senate floor Wednesday, after which Bishop invited Little outside. Little reportedly replied, “Why not here?” and at that point they were separated by security.

A lot of anger in the Senate…

Update: The Birmingham News yesterday has a good article on the extraordinary divide in the state Senate. An agreement signed by reps from each side before they allow a few bills to go through? That’s a chasm.

I’ve wanted to comment, but all I can really say is “Wow.” Bishop needs to go to some anger management classes.

Sounds like Bishop is setting up yet another EU finger pointing session.

Don, thank you so much. The outlook is good.

    Aha… I’m with you now… thanks… heh.

You know, I haven’t heard Barrons version of the story on the network channels yet. But the telling of Bishop’s version sure is firing up the radical right.
