Anthony Castaldo, investigator in the office of Attorney General Troy King, was acquitted yesterday afternoon of perjury.
Yesterday morning’s Birmingham News story on the trial raised interesting questions in my mind. Chief among them comes from my curiosity regarding Castaldo’s testimony that his job had been to “perform ‘favors for friends’ of the attorney general.”
I really can’t add anything to the good job Wheeler at Alablawg has already done in raising the questions.

why didn’t ya’ll report that Castaldo testified that he refused to do the favors he was asked to perform and that’s why he got arrested and prosecuted? it was in the same article about his aquittal. nice picture, btw. goofy looking fella……….
aginsider, the AP story on the acquittal that prompted this post did not say what you were telling in your comment. A later AP story came out that told more of the details of his defense, and the Parlor did take note in a later post.
