More to Side with Preuitt
Sen. E. B. McClain’s pronouncement that Smitherman won’t be the only one to switch sides is not routine political posturing.
McClain said Smitherman’s announcement was critical to picking up more Democrats. “You’ll probably see some other Democrats headed this way by the end of the week,” he said.
The rumor/expectation is that another black Democratic senator will jump to Preuitt’s side this week.
Looks like the log jam has broken and things may begin to move quickly now.
