IP: I don’t think I would count Barron out as president pro tem just yet.
EO: Would you put money on it?
IP: I might. If I had to choose one side or the other, I just might put money on Barron.
EO: You get back to me when you are ready to make that bet.
IP: Let me put it this way… if I had to bet one way or the other, I might put money that the Democratic Party caucus will choose the president pro tem. It might not be Barron. It might be Zeb Little or Roger Bedford or somebody, but if I had to bet one way or the other, I think I’d bet that the majority caucus wouldn’t have any Republicans in it.
After a pause…
EO: I wouldn’t be on the other side of that bet.
