New Poll #’s Coming

Filed under: Campaign & Election, AL Executive Branch — Danny @ 11:58 pm

I hear that results of an independent poll will be coming out (probably this weekend) that show Folsom ahead of Strange, perhaps at or beyond the margin of error.

  4. Well, it was on the Jim Folsom Website, so I’m not real sure whether it was independent or paid for by the Folsom campaign (would guess the latter).

  5. Shows Folsom up 43-39. I wouldn’t celebrate yet. If thst’s all he can get after his ads have run, I think it is a bad sign, First of all Folsom is a known quantity. Second his positive ads have been unchallenged for several weeks. If they couldn’t get him over or close to 50%, then I don’t think he is going to get there. Strange is back on the air this week and Folsom has a lot of baggage. He needed more of a bump from his initial media buy.

  6. Anonymous, what Cobb and Nabers poll are you talking about?

Good point, Randi, about who commissioned the poll, but I know no reason to challenge the academic and professional integrity of the USA Polling Group, the University of South Alabama group that handles polls for Mobile’s Press-Register.)

And Randi, Strange has far outspent Folsom to this point, about 8 to 1, including Strange’s primary spending.

    An updated post is here.
