Mis-measuring Poverty
Since the state’s poverty numbers are in the news, now is a good time to share this article explaining how the federal poverty level was defined and why it is an inadequate measure.

LOL, Dan, I’ll grant you it’s not a quick-and-easy read, but it really is helpful and important - particularly for people who want to understand more about poverty in our country. We hear about the “federal poverty level” all the time, but this article really helps us understand the measure (and its shortcomings).
