In today’s hearing on the election challenge for House District 54, Patricia Todd and Gaynelle Hendricks were both disqualifed – for failing to follow a Democratic Party rule that no candidate has followed since at least 1988.
This is getting weirder and weirder…
Though this is no small point from the article:

State Democratic Party Chairman Joe Turnham was “very surprised” by the decision Thursday, said Zac McCrary, a party spokesman. Turnham believes the party’s executive committee might change the decision based on an “archaic bylaw,” McCrary said.
Useless and almost relevant fact: 54 is also the number of colored squares on another difficult-to-solve puzzle, the Rubik’s cube.
