I’m not saying it has been all bad. Blogger and I had some good times. I remember the thrill of our first meeting. The infatuation that led to hopes and promises of greater things. But the disappointments now have been too great and too often. As a relationship grows, you expect the other to be there for you… and they shouldn’t even joke about losing things that are important to you.
So…
If you are looking for an old post… I have it somewhere. But you may not find it right now right here. Because Blogger, who I once imagined staying with a long time, well… I really don’t want to talk about it.
We’ll get it sorted out. Blogger will keep the disk space, I will keep the content…
There might be some bumps along the way.

Wordpress has some great plugins that’ll let you import all of your old posts on blogger.

Well, I have been experimenting with Wordpress and importing posts from Blogger to Wordpress. While I can get it to import posts from my experimental Blogger blog (that I use to test templates, etc.), it chokes on importing posts from Political Parlor. I think I am learning that it imports well from blogs from Blogger that are actually on Blogger’s webspace (blogspot.com), but not so well from Blogger’s blogs that are on other webspace. So… I think when the time comes I will have to move the Political Parlor back to blogspot.com temporarily to import it into Wordpress.
